The urban restructuring project involves creating a whole new district, but particularly on integrating the park. The project for the latter creates more than a mere image – it offers a modus operandi founded on the grid of the old wholesale food market and the process of its demolition. The very structure of the place gives rise to that of the park: “activity strips” whose width corresponds to the size of a market hall are defined and can be used together in various combinations. The “landscape ranges” thus determined make up the elements of a basic vocabulary from which choices can be made in consultation with the different parties concerned.
