Olivet Larry Park

At the heart of a new quarter served by the tram line, Larry park is built around an existing rectangular storm basin at the centre of the parcel. The challenge of the project is to play with this constraint to transform the space into a public garden that will be enjoyed on a daily basis by the inhabitants. The creation of three plant “islands” breaks up the functional geometry of the dry basin, introducing a new imaginary world linked to the water and diffracting the views, thus seeming to multiply the space. From this starting point the park’s walks play with perspectives as well as the different spaces of the park devoted to various pursuits.
