Chaumont-sur-Loire Seeds of Consciousness

Today, the new means of communication between countries and the growing international awareness of environmental problems have fundamentally changed our relationship with the world. The garden created for the Chaumont-sur-Loire Garden Festival, on the theme of “Gardens for Sharing”, is make up of fragments of landscapes symbolising the continents – Oceania, Europe, Africa and Asia –, each one evoking an imaginary country and immersing the walker in different worlds. Like a travel memoir, the garden invites the visitor to roam over its landscapes, whose atmospheres, impressions and emotions spring up and juxtapose each other like the mechanisms of memory.
