Eure-et-Loir Study of the Landscape of the Drouais
The landscape of the conurbation around Dreux is a natural, agricultural and urban environment with great appeal. Its geography, marked out by the valleys of the Eure, the Avre and the Blaise, which slice out wide plateaux, forms a strong element in its legibility. This study, a preliminary for drawing up the Plan for Land Area Coherence, aimed to define the major landscape architecture directions for the latter (protection of the valleys, making best use of the rivers, maintaining the agricultural activity, green tourism, road development), action to take to make the most of this landscape and limitations to impose on the urban landscapes (development in villages, managing their boundaries with the countryside, control over urban sprawl), as well as plans specific to the communes of Dreux and Vernouillet.
