Villeurbanne Saint-André Apartment Blocks

The urban renovation project for the public spaces was a way to give a real status to the place, and to allow the inhabitants to reappropriate the space in a consultative process.

It proposes strong planting at the foot of the buildings and to create real spaces for living at the heart of the residential complex. These include wide lawns for relaxation, a sunken garden with steps, playgrounds for children, small paved squares. The project sets the buildings in a planted structure through which systems of corridors link all the spaces in a cohesive whole.
